*Start dictation.*

"This is Captain-Dr. Nairut Noxi. I just took over command of the USS Deliverance. The current star date is...57013.11848563046. Jan. 1, 2380-give or take a few hours.

Got a new assignment. We're being decommissioned as a battleship. Not surprisingly, given what Captain Larson would've recorded. Following the assault on the Breen, the deaths of the Captain and XO, and my unwillingness to lead a Battle cruiser, we're doing a science and reconnaissance thing. Specifically, we'll be the 15th Battle Group's liaison for the Scientific Exploration of the Gamma Quadrant. It'll be a nice change, I think. I'm promised new species, new planets, and new people to explore and find.

I just hope....I am up to the task."

"Save log #1."

*Log saved, ma'am."

Noxi sighed, and sipped her Jumja. What the hell was she was even doing?
