Location: Deep Space Nine - Quarks
After the meeting with the Captains and others, Mira decided and she had quietly ask for a little bit of personal wind down time. She was accepted this and she quietly made her way to Quarks. She didn't dare sit at the bar, but she walked up the steps to the upper level where very few patrons were up here. She sat down at a table furthest from the other two tables that were occupied, having her back to an exit without realizing it. She ordered a drink as she sighed softly to herself and biting her lower lip.
She didn't flinch or move, when she heard footsteps up the stairs. She thought it was another patron going to a private table as well. She had forgotten about her training meeting and she wasn't interested in anything else here. However, she knew soon as she was in her element that she'd quickly return to Deliverance. That was until a voice spoke, "You drive me mad biting your lower lip. Don't do that, when I have a request of you."
She glanced to him and then back to the waiter that brought her a drink. "I'm not interested."
He chuckled, "It's a chance of a life time." He quietly added, "you qualify and not all do."
She noticed that he was low and soft spoken to her, but she watched her drink carefully as she sipped it. Closing her eyes just for a moment as she had it on her mouth. Then she opened them as she proceeded to set down the drink, "Still, not interested nor do I care to know you."
He chuckled again, "You know me, I know you. Every ounce. You don't remember. We worked on Artemis together." He said hoping to jar her memory.
She glanced at him coldly, "A time that I prefer to forget. It nearly cost me my career." She grabbed her drink as she headed down the steps with him following. She paused for a second, "Stop following me." She saw him stare blankly, "You've changed." She glanced back at him, "we all have." She felt him pull her close and while she tried to push him off, she felt him kiss her. "Get off me or I will." She felt it again, "Stop it." She started to scream for security, until she heard him. "Don't please. I'm sorry." She glanced at him again, "Leave me alone. Obsession isn't good for you. Just get yourself clear headed and move on."
He sighed, "You were the one that got away." He looked at her defeated, but he didn't notice her recollection of the past there for a few moments and he thought that he lost her to her thoughts, until he saw her shake her head.
She shook her head, "No, you were the one. I just lost back then and the past is the past. Good bye." She finished her drink and she gave it to a waiter as she left the guy standing there. She didn't hear nor see him say Goodbye slowly and being stunned at being rejected by her, which she had never done with him on the Artemis. She made her way back to Deliverance and straight to her quarters, she went for some rest. She'll see what happens later.
Though in the back of her mind, she did fear him a little bit. She always had, which she knew was why she couldn't get away from him. Her niceness of then was abused. She frowned slightly as she laid on her bed, wondering of what scheme that he'd try to do. 'Joseph Morris' She thought to herself, 'I wish I didn't know you.' She rolled to her side still thinking. She was a security officer and she was supposed to protect people. She felt like she may not be able to protect herself from any future encounters with that one. She sighed softly, 'maybe... Just maybe he got the hint to move on .' She could only hope, but life is always full of surprises.
